Questions
How does sync work?
RigRoster syncs through iCloud between devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Changes usually arrive within a minute while the app is open or in the background. Settings → iCloud Sync in the app shows the current status and when it last synced.
My data isn't showing up on another device
- Check both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account, with iCloud turned on for RigRoster (Settings → your name → iCloud).
- Open RigRoster on both devices while connected to the internet.
- Background App Refresh and Low Power Mode can delay syncing in the background. Opening the app catches up.
- If the status says Not Signed In or Not Syncing, your data is safe on that device and will sync once iCloud is available.
Are my photos backed up?
Yes. Photos are stored with each item and sync through iCloud along with the rest of your data, so they're also on your other devices.
I'm updating from an early test version
The first time you open the update, RigRoster moves your existing photos into iCloud sync. Keep the app open for a minute on Wi-Fi so it can finish. Please don't delete the app if something looks missing; email us instead.
What does the GAS Score mean?
GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) Score compares your wishlist total with the value of your collection. It's a nudge to think before buying, alongside the wishlist's "why do you want this?" and "gap it fills" fields.
How do I delete my data?
Delete items in the app, or remove everything from iCloud in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → RigRoster. See the privacy policy.
Requirements
iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or later. iCloud sync needs an Apple Account with iCloud turned on.
